At the Business Tourism Market (BTM) 2024 event, AsoPMR presented its accessible and inclusive tourism solution, Park4Dis, an innovative platform designed to transform mobility and accessibility in tourism. This module not only acts as a locator for parking spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility (PRM) but also offers detailed information on the accessibility of tourist attractions: from cultural monuments to beaches, as well as shops, restaurants, hotels, and other key points for travelers.

A Milestone on the Path to Inclusive Tourism

During our presentation, which was excellently received by attendees, we emphasized the importance of solutions like Park4Dis for advancing towards truly inclusive tourism. The public’s enthusiasm was evident in the video we shared after the event, where positive reactions and comments highlighted the potential impact of our tool.

However, we made sure to stress that there is still a long way to go. Although tools like Park4Dis represent a crucial step, their impact will only be significant if city councils and public bodies actively commit to improving accessibility in their territories. This implies not only adopting technological solutions but also a shift in mindset towards more inclusive management of tourist spaces.

A Call for Collaboration

At AsoPMR, we firmly believe that change is possible if we work together. Therefore, we invite all interested individuals to join our mission by becoming members through our website. Additionally, we have launched a survey aimed at collecting key information on the needs and challenges faced by people with reduced mobility.

With this data, we can organize concrete actions that not only raise awareness of these challenges but also promote effective solutions. Together, we can build a future where tourism is truly accessible for everyone, ensuring an equitable and barrier-free experience.

Committed to Change

The Business Tourism Market 2024 reminded us that there is growing interest in building inclusive tourism, but also that it is a challenge requiring the collaboration of all involved stakeholders. From AsoPMR and Park4Dis, we will continue to work with commitment and determination to drive this transformation.

If you wish to be part of this change, we invite you to learn more about our work and participate in our initiatives. Accessibility is not just a goal; it’s a right, and together we can make it a reality.
